Own and drive the end-to-end product roadmap, prioritizing features that result in a more reliable and capable audio platform across a broad range of PC devices and form factors, and that drive adoption, retention, and user delight. Monitor platform health using telemetry, partner feedback, and customer signals to continuously improve quality and user satisfaction. Represent Windows Audio platform internally and externally (at conferences, in blog posts, and with key partners in the industry).
Responsibilities
Drive strategic investments across the audio stack, including kernel mode drivers, audio frameworks, user mode pipelines, spatial audio, effects, and system experiences. Serve as the primary interface for internal and external partners on audio platform capabilities and roadmap, ensuring alignment and clear communication. Work closely with IHVs, OEMs, silicon vendors, and audio ISVs to enable new features, improve reliability, and accelerate ecosystem adoption. Drive cross functional execution across engineering, data, UX, and internal/external partner teams to deliver high-quality audio features on schedule.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development. Understanding of OS level platforms, system software, or device ecosystems. Experience working across hardware, drivers, and software layers. Proven ability to drive cross team alignment and deliver complex, multistakeholder initiatives. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences. Demonstrated excellence in written communication, with a proven history of delivering strategic executive briefings and authoring public content. Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development. OR equivalent experience. 2+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, features, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn). 2+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product). Experience with audio technologies, such as playback/capture pipelines, spatial audio, low latency systems, or audio effects. Familiarity with kernel mode vs. User mode architectures and their tradeoffs. Background working with OEMs, IHVs, or silicon partners.
