Commencement of energy isolation activities with updates on a continuous basis. Act in coordination with the Engineering team as a subject matter expert in all energy isolation incident investigations in area of responsibility Participate in high-risk activity (HRA) planning meetings associated with energy isolation. Ensures high-risk SOWs, SOPs and MOPs are reviewed, and all sources of energy are identified.
Responsibilities
Establish with the Engineering team a centralized Lockout Tag Out (LOTO) procedure with all campus entities and determine if a group or individual LOTO procedure will be required. Ensure a process is established that verifies qualifications, training, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for personnel performing the work. Generate monthly reports highlighting activities and general status of energy isolation program.
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 5+ year(s) technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 7+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent experienc Experience in critical environment and industry standards and practices Ability to effectively communicate complex technical solutions and concepts to engineers and non-engineers Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 7+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience. Experience in critical environment and industry standards and practices Experience in the Control of Hazardous Energy in complex mission critical infrastructure Experience with the operation and maintenance of building MEP systems. (Power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, security, life safety, controls systems and sprinkler systems) Understanding of electrical theory and practical application via your maintenance & operation of critical electrical equipment. (Paralleling switchgear, redundant UPS systems, DC battery strings, multi-source electrical utility switchgear, standby diesel generators, etc.) Knowledge of construction techniques, terminology, and documentation (blueprints, electrical one-lines, construction drawings etc.) Practical experience with building management systems and automation, controls & frameworks.
