Responsibilities
Participate in periodic on-call rotation for network incident support, quickly mitigate impact and restore service availability through a software enabled toolset. Evangelize best network engineering practices and processes within and across teams. Perform testing and validation of network devices, and demonstrate some knowledge of data.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation. OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical experience in network design, development, and automation. 4-5+ years of experience in the networking Industry or large-scale data center network. Experience working with L2/L3 switching platforms, application networking and network protocols like BGP, ISIS, MPLS, OSPF, VRRP, LACP, Traffic Engineering Knowledge of Datacenter Design (Control plane & Data Plane) & Operations Experience working in large scale data center/cloud environment with an understanding of passive components (UTP Cabling, Optical cabling). Experience in one or more programming languages: C++, Java, Python, Perl. Experience in understanding and authoring machine readable formats like XML, JSON. 8+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, OR related field AND 5+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, OR related field AND 3+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation OR Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, OR related field. 1+ years experience in understanding and authoring machine readable formats like XML, JSON. Excellent communication skills and team player with ability to build solid relationships at all levels, across teams, geographies, and business functions. Excellent judgment, decision-making skills, and the ability to work under continual deadline pressure when the situation is ambiguous. Proficient negotiation skills and conflict management skills.
